Older writing, a clearer reading experience
IslamicWeb brings together articles, books and studies published at different stages of the site’s history. This edition preserves the article text while updating its presentation, navigation and search. Statistics and references to current events belong to the time each article was written.
Links and references
References confirmed unavailable in the archive audit have been made non-clickable, with their citation text retained. Links were updated where the same source could be recovered. Repeatedly unavailable links and obsolete directory listings were removed. Some external sources may still be unavailable or may have changed since the original publication.
Earlier libraries and services
Some book libraries and recitation lists depended on databases and old server software. The original files remain with the site owner; their database contents have not yet been restored in this edition. Available articles and catalogues are preserved here.
Obsolete email forms, subscription controls and external counters have been retired. Use the article’s copy-link and print controls to share or save a page.
